Muc-Off Motorcycle Chain Cleaner is a fast-acting cleaner designed to remove old grease, oil, and heavy grime from motorcycle chains. It dissolves accumulated deposits, making it easier to thoroughly clean the drive train before applying fresh lubricant. The formula is suitable for standard chains, as well as chains with O-ring, X-ring, and Z-ring seals. The cleaner can be used on rubber, metal, and carbon fiber components.

Removes old lubricant and dirt
While riding, dust, sand, and road grime stick to the lubricant on the chain. These deposits are difficult to remove with water alone, especially if they have already worked their way between the links. Muc-Off Motorcycle Chain Cleaner uses solvents that break down oil and grease. After applying the cleaner with a brush or sponge, the dirt can be more easily removed from the chain’s surface.

Prepare the chain for re-lubrication
Applying fresh lubricant to a dirty chain leaves old residue underneath it. Thorough cleaning allows you to first remove accumulated dirt and then apply new lubricant to a clean surface. This cleaner does not lubricate or protect the chain. After cleaning is complete and the drive has dried, apply a suitable motorcycle chain lubricant.

For chains with seals
This product is suitable for the most common types of motorcycle chains:

It can be used both for regular drive maintenance and for removing thicker layers of old lubricant and dirt.

Easy to rinse off
The water-soluble formula makes it easy to remove the product along with the dissolved dirt. The product itself is biodegradable, but the manufacturer’s declaration does not apply to the packaging.
The product has a watermelon scent, so its characteristic odor is less chemical-smelling than that of many traditional drivetrain degreasers.

Directions for Use
Before application, thoroughly rinse the area around the chain.
Spray the product onto the chain to be cleaned.
Loosen the dirt with a brush or sponge.
Remove any remaining product and dirt.
Dry the chain thoroughly.
Apply fresh motorcycle chain lubricant.
Be careful during the process not to let the cleaner get on the brake discs, pads, or other friction surfaces of the brake system.
