Muc-Off Bug and Tar Remover – a product for removing insect remains and tar

Dried-on insect residue, tar, and resin often don’t come off during a regular motorcycle wash. Muc-Off Bug and Tar Remover dissolves stubborn road grime, making it easier to remove from paint, metal, chrome, hard plastic, and glass. The product works locally and does not require vigorous scrubbing. It is a practical solution for thoroughly cleaning fenders, headlights, motorcycle windshields, and other hard surfaces that are exposed to dirt while riding.

Effective removal of stubborn deposits
The product’s formula is designed to dissolve:
insect residue,
tar stains,
resin,
stubborn road grime.
Leave the product on the surface for 1–2 minutes. For very dried-on deposits, the application time may be extended to no more than 5 minutes. Then remove the dissolved dirt with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.

Minimize scrubbing during cleaning
It is not recommended to forcibly remove dried-on insect residue and tar. Vigorous scrubbing of a dirty surface can cause fine scratches, especially if there is sand or other loose debris on it. When should you use it?
Muc-Off Bug and Tar Remover is especially useful after a long ride, during times when insects are more active, or if your motorcycle has come into contact with tar and resin. It is not a substitute for a full motorcycle wash. It is intended for spot cleaning of dirt that remains on the surface after a regular cleaning.

Directions for Use
Park the motorcycle in the shade and make sure the parts to be cleaned are cool.
Thoroughly wash and dry the surface.
Shake the container.
Spray the product directly onto the dirty area.
Let it sit for 1–2 minutes.
For very caked-on deposits, extend the treatment time to no more than 5 minutes.
Wipe away any residue with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
After cleaning, you can apply a suitable protective coating or polish.

Important Information Before Use
Do not use the product:
on hot surfaces,
in direct sunlight,
on helmets,
on helmet visors.
The manufacturer also does not recommend prolonged contact between the product and rubber. Do not leave the product on the surface being cleaned for more than 5 minutes.
