Muc-Off Rain Shield Re-Proofer 250 ml – a treatment for technical clothing

Muc-Off Rain Shield Re-Proofer is a spray designed for the care of technical, waterproof, and water-repellent clothing. It helps reduce water absorption by the outer layer of the fabric and promotes water runoff from its surface. It can be used on motorcycle apparel made from suitable technical fabrics, including Gore-Tex®, Polartec®, Pertex®, and eVent®, as well as softshell, hardshell, and down-filled garments.

Helps reduce water absorption by the garment
During use and washing, the garment’s surface may gradually lose its ability to repel water. As a result, the fabric begins to absorb water more quickly, and water droplets no longer roll off as easily. Rain Shield Re-Proofer helps improve the fabric’s water-repellent properties. As a result, the fabric absorbs water more slowly when exposed to rain. The product also helps reduce the adhesion of wet mud, dirt, and debris that penetrates the fabric’s structure.

For breathable technical fabrics
According to the manufacturer’s information, the product does not affect the breathability of clothing. Therefore, it can be used on suitable water-resistant and breathable fabrics without compromising their performance characteristics.
The formula is water-based and does not contain PFC compounds.

Easy application with a spray bottle
Apply the product directly to clean, damp clothing. The spray bottle makes it easy to apply the product evenly across the entire surface of the fabric. One 250 ml package is sufficient for approximately one or two pieces of clothing. The manufacturer notes that this is equivalent to approximately two XL-sized jackets. Usage depends on the size of the garment and the amount of product used.

Directions for Use
Shake the bottle thoroughly.
Spray the product onto clean, damp clothing from a distance of approximately 10–15 cm.
Evenly coat the entire surface of the fabric.
Remove any excess product with a clean cloth.
Hang the garment and let it dry overnight.
Use the product in a dry, well-ventilated area. Before use, check the care instructions on the garment’s label.

When should the product be reapplied?
The manufacturer recommends reapplying the product approximately every three months, depending on how often the clothing is worn and washed. It is recommended to reapply the product when water no longer forms droplets on the fabric’s surface and begins to soak in more quickly. Regular household detergents can weaken the water-repellent properties of technical clothing. When washing, use detergents suitable for the specific material and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Important Information
Rain Shield Re-Proofer helps increase the fabric’s water resistance, but it does not make ordinary clothing completely waterproof.
